Q: Where is TWT taking place?
A: The festival is based in the Black-E, a contemporary arts/community centre at 1 Great George Street, Liverpool. All our sessions and events are happening in various spaces in the venue, except for the I, Daniel Blake screening which will take place at FACT Cinema.
Q: I’m attending the event from outside Liverpool. How can I get accommodation/travel arrangements?
Q: How is TWT ticketed?
A: You can book a FREE ticket to the event here. This grants you entry to all the venue for the 4 days, as well as access to all of our 'regular' sessions. You don't need tickets for individual sessions,* however some may be very popular and you might be turned away if there is a high turnout. Turn up to each session promptly to avoid disappointment. At especially busy times, we may have to operate a one in, one out policy at the venue entrance.
*This excludes our 'Special Events' which are ticketed separately. For these three events, we unfortunately have to charge a small fee to cover the costs of running the festival. See here for more details.
Q: Can I bring my children with me?
A: TWT is a family friendly event, and we encourage you to bring your children with you. We have a children’s programme of activities running throughout the weekend, which will be released soon. There is also a creche on Saturday afternoon and all day on Sunday, as well as a kids’ corner in all of the sessions staffed by a DBS checked volunteer.
A: Are there any age restrictions on who can attend the event?
Q: Daytime events are open to attendees of all ages. The music events on Tuesday and Saturday night are restricted to 18+.
Q: I’m a journalist, and I’d like to cover your event. How can I get press accreditation?
A: Please email joe@theworldtransformed for press related inquiries. Deadline for accreditation requests is Wednesday 21st September.
Q: Is the venue accessible? Are there accessibility arrangements put in place for the event?
A: The venue has full disabled access, with a lift serving every floor and access ramps up to the entrance. For full accessibility arrangements, please click here.
Q: Do you have a safe space policy?
A: We have a Language and Behaviour policy; which will be displayed during the festival.
Q: I have a question not covered by the FAQ.
A: Please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please bear in mind we're getting a large volume of emails, and it may take a few days to reply.
