Is there parking near the venue?
The nearest car park is ECP by the Philharmonic Hall on Caledonia Street. This is approximately a 15 minute walk to the Black-E. There is also on-street pay & display parking around the City centre.
Is the building accessible?
External access to the building is available through ramps - at the Nelson Street side of the building, to the lower ground floor (Chamber Theatre and Studio) - and at the Sankey Street side of the building, to the ground floor (Gallery). An accessible lift connects to all six floors, and wheelchair accessible toilets and internal ramps render all levels fully physically accessible.
The fit-out of the building includes plans for Sennheiser infra-red assistive listening systems in public performance and exhibition areas, and for induction loops in reception and meeting areas.
Will there be BSL interpreters, large print copies of the programme and accessible signage?
We are currently tryinig to confirm BSL interpreters, and hope to have them for our more popular sessions. There will be large print copies of the programme available at the welcome desk. Signage is also being designed to be easily readable. We will also have a team of inclusion volunteers who will be happy to help with accessibility requests.
I still have access questions. Who should I email?
