Austerity was a hot topic at 2018’s Labour conference. But people with learning disability didn’t speak and no-one spoke for them. Severe cuts have led the specific needs of this group of people being met less and less. The BAKED BEAN COMPANY of learning disabled actors will perform their devised play on the theme of austerity. Afterwards, other learning disabled contributors and audience members will talk about their lives and needs with Labour party activists and politicians. This will include an informal discussion between audience, invited speakers and advocates.
