Conspiracy theories are everywhere: on the internet, in the manifestos of mass shooters, in the mainstream media, in the halls of Westminster. What actually is a conspiracy theory? How do they work and who wins when they triumph? How do they shape our politics in a time of global crisis? And how do we tackle conspiracy thinking? In this interactive presentation, we will work through a few key cases around xenophobia, antisemitism, Islamophobia, and even ecological anxiety as we work out how to answer these questions and sharpen our political understanding and power.
