However, whilst most of the Corbyn movement is on board with the idea of a Green New Deal, there are many different visions over what a truly transformative Green New Deal can look like. This live episode of TyskySour will delve into these tensions, debating the question: how can Labour's climate policy meet the scale of the challenge we face, while prioritising justice for workers and marginalised communities?

Steve Turner is Assistant General Secretary Unite the Union. He is responsible for the union's manufacturing sector, along with its retired members and Unite's community membership.
Sakina Sheikh is a local Labour Councillor for the Borough of Lewisham and a Climate Justice campaigner at Platform London where she is working on scoping out how a Green New Deal (national climate policy) could benefit local communities, particularly in London and the Global South.
Sakina is currently running to be a Labour candidate for the Greater London Assembley, with her #SheikhUpCityHall campaign.
