Rewind! - Grime: then and now

Date
Mon 23.09.19
Timings
1pm – 2:30pm

An exploration of the sonic, cultural and political forces that lead to the emergence of the Grime scene in the early 2000's and its continued relevance today. From basements, youth clubs and pirate radio to the top of the charts, how did a DIY scene forge its path to the mainstream in the face of hostility?

Join us on this journey into musical history as we collectively listen to and discuss some of the era's key records, played on the TWT Soundsystem!
