‘In every child there is a poem…’ Corbyn’s Glastonbury triumph was a crucial reminder of culture’s power to steer the mood for political change. But what would a truly radical Labour Party cultural policy look like? Drawing on the traditions of Jennie Lee, Raymond Williams, those who see culture as a basic human aspiration, this session re-launches Arts For Labour as a participatory rethink of what culture is and how policy can be re-made to reflect our culture’s democratic impulse.
