How did Philadelphia nurses build a supermajority and win a new contract in the teeth of opposition and union-busting? How did West Virginia build a successful strike in a Trump-state where striking is illegal and win significant improvements in pay and conditions? Working with renowned labor activist and educator Jane McAlevey and activists from the National Education Union, this workshop will outline strategies for organising successful action in the workplace and the wider community. This workshop will also prepare participants for the forthcoming online International Strike School in late September.
