The COVID-19 pandemic and resulting lockdown has had a much bigger economic impact than many predicted, with the UK among the worst hit countries. But how is this unfolding crisis to be understood? What are its main characteristics and underlying causes? What is its relationship to the ongoing crises in capitalism and the threat of climate breakdown? And how do we make sense of the government’s response? Join radical educators Trademark Belfast for a workshop to explore how activists can approach these questions from a political economy perspective.

Speakers:

Stiofán Ó Nualláin works for Trademark Belfast, a trade union based organisation focused on political education, alternative economics and post-conflict transformation
