The Big Proportional Representation Debate

Sunday 26th September11am12:30pm
Old Steine Gardens - Big Tent

Proportional representation is likely to prove one of the hottest debates at this year’s conference. As of May, more than a third of CLPs had passed motions expressing support for PR to be used in UK general elections.
Should the Labour Party advocate for PR or stick with First Past the Post? In this session, we’ll hear from advocates of each system and find out what TWT attendees think. Got strong views or yet to make up your mind? This lively town hall debate will tease out the different arguments from both camps on a crucial conference motion.
