When you look beneath the surface of the cost of living emergency, you see a democratic system that is experiencing a profound crisis. Our political institutions have been undermined by corporate interests, decision-making is centralised in Whitehall and detached from people's lives, and consent is breaking down across the nations.

To understand the roots of the democratic crisis we must get to grips with the way the state reproduces the power of the ruling elite. Join speakers from the UK and Chile who are working to democratise the state and put power in the hands of the people.
