How do we move from mobilising to organising?
In this session we’ll think about how to build the skills, experience and infrastructure necessary to really organise for long-term change, and the difference between organising events and organising people.
We’ll hear examples of social movements that have transitioned successfully from emergency responses to long-term organising, and find out how base-building relates to these concepts.

Harshana is a member of Health Workers for a Free Palestine and a doctor. They, alongside many committed members of HW4FP, have been engaged in organising health workers and allies, on a local and national scale, against Palantir's presence in the NHS. From starting out as a series of protests and campaigns to becoming a sustainable, worker-led organisation, HW4FP has much to share about the work required to transition from mobilising to organising.
