Join Left Book Club for a facilitated interactive reading group to discuss their September title, We are the Heirs of the World’s Revolutions by Thomas Sankara.
This session aims to explore Sankara's revolutionary legacy and broader anti-colonial strategies to understand neocolonialism and its contemporary manifestations. We'll examine how his radical programme offers lessons for today's movements. As part of our campaign to establish 100 reading groups across Britain, we're building spaces for collective learning, debate and organising to confront rising authoritarianism and shape transformative alternatives.
Pioneering British publisher Victor Gollancz founded the original Left Book Club in 1936. His aim was to popularise the ideas of the left and combat the rise of fascism.
