This session will situate zionism as the manifestation of imperialism in the region, and contextualise regional developments of the last two years within an anti-imperialist framework.

We'll will come away from the session with a deeper understanding of reactionary and revolutionary forces in the region, and what is required from us in Britain to advance the anti-imperialist struggle.

Speakers

Nihal is an Egyptian writer and political commentator and organiser with the Palestinian Youth Movement

Tara is a member of the Palestinian Feminist Collective, a grassroots anti-imperialist Palestinian feminist organization committed to a world free from colonial land theft, imperialist encroachment, and capitalist exploitation of land, people, and resources, including but not limited to sexual and gendered violence.

Amal Saad is a Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at Cardiff University. She specialises in Hizbullah and its relations with the Resistance Axis. She has authored several works on Hizbullah including the book Hizbullah: Politics and Religion, Pluto Press (2002).

Kimia Talebi is an organiser with Energy Embargo for Palestine

is an organiser with the Palestinian Youth Movement in the USA.
