Join workers who fought in the recent strike wave for a collective discussion about what we can learn from the last year and how we build on it going forward.

The session will feature contributions from workers from a range of sectors who have been on strike, including education, healthcare and transport, before opening out into a wider participatory discussion.

Speakers

Shanice Octavia McBean is a Black writer and activist in Sisters Uncut. She grew up in Handsworth, Birmingham, before moving to Tottenham. Describing herself as a revolutionary and Afro-Marxist, she has also organised in anti-racist groups and trade unions, and is co-author of Abolition Revolution, Pluto's latest intervention on race, class and policing in the UK.

Raymond Morell is a Unite workplace rep in the aerospace sector.

Lucy Coleman is an early years teacher, branch secretary for Oxfordshire NEU and Chair of NEU Left.

Callum is a member of the London Strike Wave Assembly

Garfield is an Amazon worker and branch secretary of the Coventry Amazon Workers branch of GMB.
