These artists have years of experience performing, facilitating and hosting joyfilled raves, parties and shebeens across Manchester, the UK and beyond. Blending intergenerational diasporic sounds, a love of soundsystem culture with freedom music, liberation chants and the resistance spirit of protest and solidarity. Chande is a DJ, Broadcaster, Host, Music and Cultural Producer, core member of the Daytimers Collective, on a mission to uplift and spark new connections.
Samrai is a musician, DJ, facilitator and youth worker of Panjabi, Sikh ascent who has lived in Manchester, UK since 2006. He is a co-founder of Manchester’s acclaimed Swing Ting party/label and SEEN Magazine, which celebrates unheard voices, stories and scenes. He currently co-chairs the Musicians’ Union’s North of England Regional Committee and Climate Emergency working group.
