The far right’s presence is growing, electorally and on our streets. As the left rises to oppose them, we need to understand exactly where we are and how we got here.

This session brings together a panel who have encountered and organised against the many faces of the far right, in order to think through how we can best understand and defeat our enemy.

Speakers

Kojo Kyerewaa is a writer and Community Activist from South London.

Dan Evans is a sociologist and author. His latest book is A Nation of Shopkeepers: The Unstoppable arise of the Petty Bourgeoisie.

Elle O'Rourke is a political economist, writer and gender theorist living in Manchester. She is co-editor, with Jules Joanne Gleeson, of Transgender Marxism.

Richard Seymour is an editor at Salvage magazine and the author of several books about politics and culture, including, most recently, “The Disenchanted Earth: Reflections on Ecosocialism and Barbarism.”
