With capitalism stagnating, the need to build a democratic economy has never been more urgent. Join us as we delve into radical experiments in economic democracy: from community wealth building to public-common partnerships, while addressing the problem of how we build a system that works for people, not profit.

Speakers

Hilary Wainwright is a British sociologist, political activist and socialist feminist, best known for being editor of Red Pepper magazine.

John McDonnell is the MP for Hayes and Harlington, and former Shadow Chancellor.

Ben is an architectural worker and co-researcher helping to prepare the Wards Corner Community Plan.

Melanie Brusseler is a senior researcher at Common Wealth thinktank.

Keir Milburn is co-director of the think tank Abundance, author of Generation Left, a member of the Red Plenty Games collective, and co-host of the #ACFM podcast on Novara Media.
