Our first festival took place in 2016, in Liverpool, and has taken place every year since as an unofficial fringe to the Labour Party conference. Take a look at our programmes from previous festivals.

2022
In 2022 we returned to Liverpool for the first time in 4 years. Back in the Black-E and accompanied by exciting new venues and a supercharged online offering, we brought together key actors from across the left to strategise in the wake of the hot-strike summer.

2021
TWT21 took place in Brighton from the 25th-28th September. Over 3,000 people attended TWT 2021 in Brighton for over 100 sessions, with highlights including John McDonnell in conversation with Bernie Sanders, the Zarah Sultana pub quiz, and our most extensive training programme yet.

Across the month of September we ran our first ever digital festival - necessitated by the Covid-19 pandemic - with 90 separate events, including panels, workshops, trainings, rallies, courses, parties, cultural events and a podcast series. The World Transformed 2016, was our first festival of politics, art, community and culture alongside the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool. With thousands of attendees and over 100 sessions, it was the most extensive fringe event at Labour Party Conference we'd seen in decades.
