Got an eye for rebellious performance? Curious about the transgressive politics of drag? Eager to harness its gender-bending potential? Then bring all of your burning questions to this interactive performance showcase + panel of drag kings, brought to you by the newly formed Migrated Kingdom of Drag. There will be a chance to move your body a little if you wish!

Speakers

Rita is a performer, an improv teacher and a workshop facilitator with years of experience. Rita was twice shortlisted for VAULT Five; they were also awarded 1:1 Fund by Jerwood Arts, in collaboration with drag king Valera Beloved.

Dani Nowokuńska uses their creative practice to explore themes of anti-capitalism, queerness, love, culture, sexuality, and liberation. They use drag to embody and communicate ideas through multi-media collage, often referencing historical subcultures, cinematic characters and tropes

The silver tongued Prince of the Underworld, friendly neighbourhood
cryptid, and gender non-conforming nightmare - King Confuza! Known for
his killer style and fierce performance art as well as his love of
creative chaos. Taking a night off from his world famous sex cult to
come and shake his codpiece on stage, gender has never been fucked so
good!

Organisations

Migrated Kingdom of Drag is a project of Polish Migrants Organise for Change (POMOC), and artist and drag king Rita Suszek, seeking to make drag more accessible to migrants and Eastern European voices, especially people of colour, women, femmes and non-binary, trans and gender nonconforming people.
