Games Transformed is getting closer! Join us for a one-day festival celebrating games and radical politics on Sunday 28 May at Pelican House in Bethnal Green, London.

We’re excited to announce the initial programme. Check it out!

  • (opens in a new tab)People Make Games co-founder Chris Bratt in conversation with Gareth Damian Martin, creator of the critically-acclaimed (opens in a new tab)Citizen Sleeper. PMG is one of the foremost left-wing video game YouTube channels with nearly half a million subscribers. Citizen Sleeper recently won the Social Impact Award at the Game Developers Choice Awards.
  • Play (opens in a new tab)Daybreak, the new board game by Matteo Menapace and Pandemic designer Matt Leacock, releasing this summer. Can you and your friends work together to stop climate catastrophe? Matteo will also be speaking at the event.
  • (opens in a new tab)Red Plenty, the leftist games collective, launch their new political strategy group role-playing game.
  • Play (opens in a new tab)Thatcher’s Techbase (you (opens in a new tab)might remember it at the 2022 The World Transformed festival)  now with two-player mode!
  • The (opens in a new tab)IWGB Game Workers branch will be running an Organising 101 workshop, where those working in the games industry (or with aspirations to do so) can learn how to start organising their workplace. There will also be a panel session on organising the games industry.
  • All the games submitted from the jam - digital and board games - will also be playable for the first time, alongside food, drinks and great company.
