The World Transformed 2023

Save the date. TWT23 is coming. Liverpool, 7 - 10th October.

The political context has rarely been so stark. Across the political spectrum in Westminster, the impoverishment of millions of people, the dismantling of public services and the catastrophic effects of climate breakdown are greeted with inertia.

But communities are resisting, and The World Transformed is returning to help coordinate the fightback.

🚩Workers on picket lines are resisting pay cuts and precarity. 

👩‍⚕️Nurses and doctors are on the frontlines of defending our NHS from further privatisation. 

🏡Students are leading rent strikes and tenants unions nationwide continue to fight for affordable rent.

✊Antifascists lead the fight for the streets, while anti-raids networks have continued to resist the forced removal of migrants from their communities. 

🌎Climate activists are executing a dizzying string of direct actions, protests and campaigns, fighting for a liveable planet.

They’ll all be at TWT23. Will you?

This October, we’ll bring together activists from these movements and beyond to develop shared political analyses, strengthen links across struggles, and upskill new and old activists alike. We’ve got so many exciting plans for the festival, and we can’t wait to share them with you. For now, get the dates in your diary so you can start planning your stay in Liverpool.

Preparing for TWT23

Early-bird tickets for the festival will be available soon, but in the meantime we strongly encourage you to book accommodation as soon as possible as prices are likely to increase over the next few months. We've set up a group so you can self-organise with other attendees and get the best possible deals.

Volunteering

Going to apply to volunteer at TWT23? Keep your eyes peeled for a volunteer sign up form coming soon - but if you can sort out your own accommodation, we’d strongly recommend doing so in advance! You could fill in the form below to help us accommodate volunteers without somewhere to stay in Liverpool, and increase the chance we can accept your volunteer application.
