Since the last TWT event in 2023, we have lived through seismic shifts in British and global politics.
We are approaching two years of a genocide in Gaza, backed by a Labour government that meanwhile inflicts austerity and state repression at home. Filling the vacuum created by Labour’s failures, Reform is surging across Britain, bolstered by a rising tide of violent right-wing populism around the world.
Despite popular dismay and pockets of resistance, the left is struggling to build coherent counterpower. The only winners right now are the ruling class.
But the time for division is over. You’re invited to The World Transformed 2025.
This is a national gathering for coordination and strategy across our movement. A programme of talks and workshops on critical issues, plus arts and culture, will surround daily mass assemblies. It’s time to bring the arguments and debates into the open. From there we can move forward together.
Join international and national delegates from Trade Unions, tenant groups and movement organisations, along with independent activists, local organisers and the politically curious. For four days, we will gather in one place to learn, debate and socialise - in short, to build the culture and unity required if we want to change course.
This is an open call for all people and groups ready to participate in this collective work.
The future is not inevitable, nor is it out of our hands. Sometimes, history needs a push.
Join us in Hulme, Manchester, 9-12 October 2025.
