We’re excited to announce the launch of our new report for the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), “A New Cycle of Struggle: The British Left Post-Corbyn”. It traces the development of the trade union movement, the Labour left and the extra-parliamentary/movement left since the election defeat of 2019, marking out important spikes of activity from BLM to Enough is Enough, and sketching out the possible direction of travel with a Starmer government now a political possibility.
The report offers one perspective on left movements in Britain over the last three years - it’s not exhaustive, still less the fixed “TWT line”, but we hope it’s a useful contribution to the discussion.
